What is in each record
Every record has the legal business name, entity type, status, formation month, registration state, state filing number and business address. Registered agent is included for the states that publish it (12 of 15). More than 2.8 million records include an EIN. More than 400,000 include an email address. The data dictionary lists all the columns.

Limits worth knowing before you buy
- EINs and email addresses are included only where we have them, and most records have neither. At present nearly all EINs are on Florida registrations and most email addresses are Connecticut businesses.
- A business registered in several states has one row per registration.
- We update the database weekly, but states publish on their own schedules (from daily to monthly), so each state is only as current as its latest release.
- You are responsible for following the marketing and privacy laws that apply to how you use the data.

Where does the data come from?
From the official business registries that each state publishes. ListRiver standardizes the files into one layout, removes duplicates and keeps only businesses that are active on the state register.
